Photoshop and other photo editing software are wonderful tools, but I'm afraid that people have gone WAY overboard on their use of them in photographs. Even shadows have disappeared where they should be in pictures and images are looking completely unreal. I can appreciate wanting to enhance some of the colors that get washed out in the sunlight once you view them in the photos, but come on! Enhance--not invent!<br /><br />Also, I'm so glad you mentioned Bill Parker's blog. He is an incredible wealth of information! And of course, I am pleased you also talked about Petrified Forest. The colors there are incredible!
